Loon Lake offers a variety of self-guided trails designed to help visitors explore, connect, and engage with the natural landscape in different ways. Each trail provides a unique opportunity to experience Loon Lake at your own pace.

Discovery Trail
Explore and experience Loon Lake’s dynamic temperate rain forest environment and community of living things by following the Ecology Path. Alternatively, take the Mindfulness Path to become more in tune with yourself and the nature of Loon Lake.

Loon Lake Trail
The Loon Lake landscape is dripping with moisture! Follow the Loon Lake Trail all the way around the lake and discover how all of this water affects what lives and grows here.
Distance: 4.5km Duration: 2.5 hours Level: Intermediate
Wildlife Adventure Loop
This 2.5 km self-guided forest loop features a series of wooden playground and fitness structures thoughtfully placed along the trail. Along the route, you’ll discover ten interactive stations, designed to foster social awareness, teamwork, and physical literacy. This loop encourages participants to move beyond their comfort zones - building group cohesion, mindfulness, and trust along the way.
