Nestled in the Lower Mainland, Loon Lake is a truly special place. This 56-hectare private lake is reserved for non-motorized activities, with fishing prohibited, helping to protect its natural beauty. As a result, the lake remains a pristine haven for local birds and an exceptional living lab for scientific research.

We encourage our guests to enjoy the lake in a responsible fashion and are happy to offer the following services:

Beginner's Swimming Hole
Our square-shaped dock features an interior swimming area that’s ideal for beginner swimmers. Always close to the dock yet spacious enough to learn and play, it provides a safe and confidence-building introduction to lake swimming.

Canoeing
Loon Lake has 18 canoes available for group rental. Spend some time paddling out across the lake and enjoying a classic Canadian pastime. A canoe rental rate of $30 per canoe per day or $250 per day for all canoe applies.

*Life jackets are available for use by all guests and are located at the Thunder Inn. Life jackets are required for all persons canoeing.
